The Technology Path for Small and Medium Print Business

Indian Printer and Publisher and IppStar jointly with Mumbai Mudrak Sangh announce the revival of their well-known path breaking knowledge events known as the IPP Conferences. The IPP series of annual conferences that began in 1994 have been held all around the country and after a break of three years, will be organized again in Mumbai at the end of this year. The second and fifth IPP conferences were held in Mumbai in 1995 and 1998.

The IPPXI conference represents a breakthrough for the unification of the industry. This is the first time that a major industry association, the Mumbai Mudrak Sangh is jointly organising with and supporting a professional knowledge event right from the outset. IPPXI plans to focus on business and technology insights of relevance to small and medium print businesses in four afternoon to evening sessions from 3 to 6:30 pm on 17 and 18 December 2007. The conference will be located in Hall 2 of the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Goregaon where the Printech exhibition will be held from 15 to 19 December. Printech is organised by MMS and is supported by AIPIMA, IIP, AIFMP, IPAMA, PEIAC, MMP, and APF.

With an expectation of more than 200 participants, IPPXI has been divided into four sessions over two days. The first day of the event, December 17, will witness sessions on The Path for Small and Medium Print Businesses, which would include presentations and discussions on topics such as market issues, viability issues for survival, expansion, growth, and relocation including case studies. Another session — The Future of Printers in Mumbai, will attempt to understand the particular issues of this commercial metropolis. Marketing, sales, and branding issues will be addressed.

On December 18, IPPXI will focus on the technology and business strategy options for small and medium printers. Expert presentations will discuss how to consolidate and develop competitive advantages of print businesses and how to evaluate the technology and upgrade options for key industry segments. The technology presentations will also discuss education and training.
